Cusco: “Machu Picchu Brand” seeks to improve the provision of tourist services in the district
The beneficiaries will be lodging and restaurant companies, which may be subsequently promoted.
The Regional Directorate of Foreign Trade and Tourism (DIRCETUR), together with the District Municipality of Machu Picchu, signed an agreement that seeks to improve the tourist service, such as lodging and restaurants, in the town of Aguas Calientes.
Under the name of the project called “Machu Picchu Brand”, training will be carried out for owners of companies dedicated to offering these services, for the benefit of visitors from all over the world who arrive at this tourist destination. These works are planned for three years.
“It will be like an endorsement that we give them and that will allow them to have more customers,” said the Burgos master of Machu Picchu. Therefore, in the first stage of project execution, 20 companies will benefit. Once the training is finished, the brands advised can be promoted on various tourist platforms.
